Oral lab-notebook defense
The student defends an authored analysis of an approved investigation or clearly labeled fictional/de-identified dataset: question, method or supplied-data context, units, observations, uncertainty, and conclusion. Personal food, activity, sleep, and health records are not required and remain private if used voluntarily. An instructor assesses the reasoning and any separately observed practical work, not disclosure, symptoms, composure, or handwriting as proof of independence.

Integration is reported separately and cannot lower the science grade or block a science demonstration pass. Science and practical criteria determine that pass. Before assessment, publish the target list, task, permitted references, timing, and accommodations. Assess scientific reasoning and safe technique, not confidence or speaking speed.

Use the declared task, sources, assistance policy and approved accommodations. The teacher probes scientific reasoning and separately observes any required practical technique. Handwriting or a live response alone does not prove independence, and no private health disclosure or diagnosis is required.
